Our mission

Bellefontaine First Church of God exists so that all people can experience a relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • There is one sovereign God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things.

  • Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died as a substitute for us, rose from the grave & now intercedes for us in Heaven.

  • Convicts the world in regard to sin, comforts believers, indwells and equips them for personal growth and service to Jesus Christ.

  • Holy Scriptures are God’s direct word to man, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy and the supreme authority.

  • Available only by grace of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. This free gift of salvation is offered to all who believes Christ as Savior.

  • Death seals the eternal destiny of each person. When Christ returns, He will pronounce the eternal fate of each individual - the saved to eternal life in heaven, the unsaved to eternal separation from God in hell.

  • The mission of the Church is to go to all the world and make disciples of all nations. The Church is to prepare each believer for real life in Christ. God’s great desire is to change the world through unified groups of Christians who are filled with devotion and love.

The Church of God is a worldwide movement of people seeking to fulfill God’s desire for the church. We are committed to studying the Word of God and faithfully living it out. We are committed to being the body of Christ in spirit, word, and deed.

We commit ourselves to the mission that Jesus Christ gave every believer: to make disciples of all nations. We seek to love and serve all people.

We are affiliated with the Church of God, whose general offices are located in Anderson, Indiana.
